Hall Financial

Nothing pleases a business owner more than putting people to work and creating the prospect of personal wealth and independence. This has always been one of my favorite business objectives. And it’s even more rewarding for me when I can do it in Michigan.

This was the topic of my most recent interview with The Detroit News.

Michigan Job Loss

Hundreds of thousands of hard working Michiganders have felt the sting of unemployment. It’s not something that can be fixed overnight. That’s why every small business owner and entrepreneur needs to be thinking about the value these smart people can bring to their business plans.

Smart business people should be asking questions, like:

  • How can I leverage Michigan’s brain trust?
  • How can I stop the brain drain?
  • Can these motivated people grow my business?

Passionate people grow businesses; not capital or marketing or sales. Those are merely the tools and disciplines of motivated people.

Stopping Brain Drain

One of the areas of job creation that I’m most passionate about is capturing our young minds. Michigan has some of the finest Colleges and Universities in the nation, but too few of these young graduates find opportunity in Michigan.

We’re losing the very fuel that can re-ignite Michigan.

Hall Financial, a mortgage lender based right here in Birmingham, MI is trying to scoop up as many of these great minds as possible. Like I mentioned in The Detroit News article, were going to fuel our growth with 5-10 of these smart minds in 2010.

Could you be one of those entrepreneurial sparks?

Getting Michigan Moving

Of course, I can’t hire everyone and I can’t envision all of the great ideas. However, I can help seed some of these passionate people and ideas.

This is precisely the mission of DHallVentures, another of my Michigan companies, providing businesses the capital and knowledge to jump start aggressive growth.
